The New Dance Show was a television series from Detroit, Michigan developed as a spin-off of to the more well known The Scene, which ran from October 1975 to December 1987. The New Dance Show debuted in November 1988, the first show was recorded at Reggie’s Moulin Rouge club in Detroit. True fans of the New Dance Show will already be aware of the amazing show archive on the Caprice87 YouTube Channel and some amazing footage over at the Nat Morris YouTube Channel
Another great dance show foled in a club was the House Countdown from Chicago. It was filmed at the Rivera Nightclub circa 1990. Check out the House Countdown Dancers and a performance by Joe Smooth.
